I'm 31, size 10-12. I have a posh wedding to attend and need a frock. What do you think of this dress?

Frock

Gosh I think that's fab! Which colour were you going to go for? Shoes? Jacket/wrap?

Looks like the sort of dress you will wear for years Smile

cocolepew · 12/10/2012 09:11

It's beautiful Envy

Northernexile · 12/10/2012 09:12

I do like it and think I could get a lot of wear out of it (and I have £100 HoF voucher to soften the blow!).

I'm not sure on colour though- can't make up my mind. I do like the teal one, but I have a couple of other dresses a similar colour, so might go for something different. Have some black suedey platform courts- too boring?

It's gorgeous, you could dress that up our down for anything.

Sadly I've never had narrow enough hips, even as a teen Envy

Caerlaverock · 12/10/2012 09:15

Gorgeous

Caerlaverock · 12/10/2012 09:16

Teal is nicest colour.

Lottapianos · 12/10/2012 09:17

Shoes sound good. Teal would be fab

Northernexile · 12/10/2012 09:19

Ooh consensus is favourable! Grin

Might have to go for it then

Love that dress - the teal is beautiful!

kissyfur · 12/10/2012 09:22

Gorgeous dress, teal looks lovely but midnight might last you longer as its more classic. I like the purple too.

AphraBehn · 12/10/2012 09:23

The teal one is divine Envy

cocolepew · 12/10/2012 09:28

I like the midnight best, then the blue.

Diana2000 · 12/10/2012 09:32

Absolutely beautiful dress, I'd have trouble deciding on colour too as they're all lovely...

Northernexile · 12/10/2012 09:41

The midnight one is nice. Don't have anything that colour at the moment. There's too much choice! What about jewellery? Something sparkly necklace-wise maybe?

Gorgeous dress - as its expensive and you want to wear it lots, go for midnight and ring the changes with different shoes, wrap/jackets etc.

tak1ngchances · 12/10/2012 09:59

I HAVE IT!!! In cerise pink. Sorry for shouting I got a bit excited.
It is the world's best dress. Do not hesitate to buy it for a second. I wore it to a wedding and a black tie do this year, and I've never had as many compliments in my life

Northernexile · 12/10/2012 10:13

Hi tak1ng good to hear from someone who has it and loves it! The wedding I am going to is black tie, and I don't want to do full-length, so I was hoping it would do the job for me. I do want something versatile enough to wear again, so it seems ideal.

tak1ngchances · 12/10/2012 10:16

I wear it with nude shoes in summer and bronze in winter. It's past knee-length so you need something cut low on your food with no ankle strap. And a good high heel if you can.
The neckline is quite detailed so I wear my hair up to show it off and drop earrings

daimbardiva · 12/10/2012 10:19

Gorgeous! Beautiful style and my absolute favourite colour

BunnyLeBOOwski · 12/10/2012 10:19

The teal looks a wee bit cheap compared to the midnight and the purple.

Oh yeah and Envy. Beautiful beautiful dress.

apprenticeboy · 12/10/2012 10:27

I love the hot pin one and the midnight one best!

(checking balance in bank and then going to order!!)

Northernexile · 12/10/2012 10:35

Mmmm. Thinking maybe midnight. Will mull it over today I think.

Oooh ooh ooh, I think this is the dress my friend wore to a wedding a few weeks ago! She said it was from House of Fraser!

She is a bigger girl - size 16-18 but is very well proportioned as she is tall, and she has very big boobs, smaller waist and then big hips/bum. She wore it with a corset and she looked stuuuuuuunning!

Hers was in the teal which was a gorgeous colour.

100% go for it!

Lottapianos · 12/10/2012 11:08

People who have it - is it something you could wear if you have massive 32H norks and a bit of a tum? And are a stubborn git who won't do Spanx? Wink

Looks like a bit of an investment dress - seriously tempted.

Northernexile · 12/10/2012 11:12

I think it looks like the kind of dress that would look spectacular if you are blessed in the boob department!
