Nail Varnish from the USA - advice needed

I need your assistance please, fellow nail varnish addicts.

A friend of mine is off to NYC in a couple of weeks and he has said he'll bring me nail varnish back (squee!). Which brands are cheaper in the US or are exclusive to the US? He's gay, so loves shopping but he won't want to shop around too much and he won't have a clue what colours to buy so I will narrow it down to certain brands and colours and tell him which shop he needs to go to.

Thanks

Opi is about half the price from the US as it is here and same with china glaze, especially if you can order online to a hotel in advance. I buy from transdesign.com they do opi, china glaze, orly etc (to get to the opi polished you have to use search).

Thanks, all. I was too impatient to wait for responses and went through the Sephora website

I have gone for a Sephora by OPI set (8 polishes for $29.50, I think they're full size not miniatures), a Julep set (5 polishes for $34.00), 2 Butter London ($8,75 each) and 2 Illamasqua (also $8,75 each). Just shy of $100 or £60 for 17 polishes. Works out at £3.50 per bottle, roughly.

SQUEE!!
