Tippex on navy coat .HELP

Anybody know how to take Tippex off a navy coat safely. Sob, brand new!

I don't know if the proper tippex remover would help? Or it might cause further damage.

Or could you let it dry and then just pick it off?

What sort of fabric is it?

Acetone nail polish remover? Takes off lots of things. Maybe try a bit on a hem/not visible bit first.
