My MIL showed me her latest fashion purchase; www.cosstores.com/Mock_shirt/228955-243938.1

trying not to laugh or mention bib for a 67yr old. Any other M&S/star buys this weekend?

Jeez that is silly!!

ujjayi · 08/10/2012 22:36

WTAF?

justasecond · 08/10/2012 23:26

Blimey, seen it all now!

Eliza22 · 09/10/2012 08:29

Perhaps she's to attend a Victorian/Edwardian dinner party? Dressed as a man?

I took a bin bag to my knicker drawer recently and chucked anything I'd not be prepared to be seen in in A&E if I get run over by a bus..... I'd not want to be in that position, wearing that faux shirt either.

ImAWildAndAnUntamedThing · 09/10/2012 08:31

Especially not for £29!

TheSandstoneCat · 09/10/2012 08:34

..... oh dear, I like it! Should I hang my head in shame or be proud of my fashion forward credentials. Obviously it looks naff like that but I think it would work well under other tops. Nearly took a pair of scissors to one of my blouses at the weekend to achieve something similar.

QueenBeebread · 09/10/2012 08:38

Was just looking at exactly that last night and planning to buy it.

I think it's useful! Give the shirt collar look without all the bulkiness and coming-outiness of a shirt.

dexter73 · 09/10/2012 08:38

Why can't you just wear a blouse underneath instead?

TheSandstoneCat · 09/10/2012 08:48

QueenBee - yes, exactly that. Used to own a lovely black top with a false white collar attached. Loved it but how to wash it? Coloured wash/white wash?

QueenBeebread · 09/10/2012 09:01

Obvs you can wear a blouse but it can spoil the lines of a nicely fitting jumper/dress.

Themumsnot · 09/10/2012 09:14

I remember polo neck versions of those from back in the early 80s. I can't believe they've come round again.

shoeprincess2 · 09/10/2012 09:36

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it has now sold out Shock

Sonotkylie · 09/10/2012 10:50

Is 'mock' an instruction or a description?
