Outfit needed for a winter wedding

Wedding is in 4 weeks. Ideally I'd like a dress (not black). I'm the wrong side of 40, so nothing shorter than knee height and not a maxi. Have large-ish boobs that are on the saggy side so it must have straps. I'm a size 12 and brunette, so blues suit as do reddish colours.

Don't really want to spend more than £100. Help!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the dress I can't get enough of right now. It comes in navy or oxblood. It's £85, knee length, holds up the boobs, and is extremely flattering. For a winter wedding, alhough it would take you over £100, something like this bolero would look very vintage and fabulous with the dress. Hope this helps!

I just bought this after looking for aaaages with a similar dilemma

Summer weddings ? Easy peasy. Winter weddings a bloody nightmare.

the oxblood dress is gorgeous! Is it quite low at the back?

I bought this

Slightly more red than it looks in the picture

Oh dear, shouldnt have clicked on that Hybrid link, I want it (am going to a wedding in December!).

It says that you need to order up a size, 2cats and hyva did you find this (am a size 10-12, more a 12 really, would a 12 be ok or would I need to go 14?)

OneHandFlapping · 25/10/2012 15:28

I tried the oxblood one in two different sizes. The rather thick fabric just didn't hang right on me - especially round the hips.

I bought this instead. It's a soft jersey, but the gathering round the tum make it more forgiving than it sounds. I've run out of time as wedding is on Saturday, so I'm keeping this one.

I'm a size 12 in Marks, Next, New Look etc and it fits me perfectly.

The back is just low enough (i.e. doesn't show your bra strap).

I really like it. The bow gives it just enough dressiness.

I also have a winter wedding in a few weeks, i have my eye on this to wear.
Not sure what the quality will be like for that price but I can always order and send back if it's crap!
I have an ivory fur shrug thing already but not sure if that will go with the green?
