Lancôme teint Miracle is it greasy feeling?

The lady in the chemist would only do 1/2 my face & wouldn't let me have a sample to try some at home. She put on a moisture surge before which was very thick but the foundation on top seemed very wet & shiny. I liked the colour but just don't want the foundation to be greasy as when the loose powder goes on top it goes cakey. I want an illuminating foundation & this one seems to be a nice colour. I just don't want to make another mistake.

I definitely don't find it greasy at all. It's water based not oil based hence why not greasy

So you know what moisturiser she put on? Or the colour the jar was? And also what skin type do you have.

Generally with Miracle would advise not using a powder with it as it can spoil the effect. Maybe use La Base before if you are worried about shine.

I got this recently and it had a lovely finish. Get loads of comments about my skin looking great. Bet the oily feeling was the cream she put on before.

Thanks she on moisture surge by Clinique & my face just felt very wet. The foundation was just sitting on top of the mosturiser so it was hard to tell if the foundation was greasy. I might go in again with my own mosturiser on & see if I can try it again.

Yes then I would agree that the moisturiser made it greasy. She may also have put too much of the cream on as well

Thanks do you set with a loose powder as I like to finish off with a powder?I have combination skin but my cheeks are more normal than dry. I find if the foundation is too greasy then the powder goes funny later in the day on the foundation.

I don't find it greasy at all, definately don't need a powder afterwards.

To be honest I find a powder will make it Matt, so If you do get very greasy/shiny I would say use an oil free primer instead. La Base is good by Lancôme, and Mac do a good one as well

If you really are a powder girl, at the absolute most a dusting of translucent loose powder over the T zone is fine

Moisture surge by clinique is almost pure silicone(dimethicone or cyclomethcone) hence the greasy feeling.

Try again, but without this!

As moisture surge s so high in silcone, it could almost be classed as a primer and on some skins (dry ones) that would work quite well.

I have it. Not oily. Just lovely and light and "illuminating". I love it.

My independent chemist has a Lancôme counter. The lady gave me two little vials of different shades to try. It's ludicrous to expect you to part with £26 without being able to try at home first. And doing half your face? Go somewhere else for a sample.

That's Eliza 22. I'm in Australia & don't go into the city where we have 2 department stores that sell Lancôme. We have a chemist in the shopping centre so that is the only place I can try it. I let them know that I'm a beauty therapist so I know what I'm talking about regarding the shade & application. Usually they are fine & let me have a sample in a pot but their testers are a small bottle & she wouldn't let me have any for me to try at home. I've made so many mistakes as trying it in the shop is different when you get home so I like to try it first before wasting my money.
