Hi

Im trying to make an effort to wear something nice and seductive in bed but everything i have is so skimpy and its soooo cold at the moment i cant wear any of it!

any ideas if what i can wear to show a bit of flesh but not freeze to death?

TIA

Erm... can't really see a way around this! I LOVE warm cosy pjs, I usually wear brushed cotton trousers and a soft vest or t-shirt. Doesn't seem to stop DP getting interested. Or could you just make your bed warmer with flannel sheets and more blankets?

Inneedofbrandy · 04/10/2012 09:57

H&m have legging pjs in, with over sized tshirts, I think you could pull off the dishevelled sexy look?

returnvisit · 04/10/2012 11:10

my DH doesnt class any PJ's as sexy :-(
like the idea of flannel sheets though, will try that but still need to find something a bit revealing to wear

I would like to see a miracle answer to this too.

piratecat · 04/10/2012 11:12

deffo coming back to this one.

Arithmeticulous · 04/10/2012 11:15

The holy grail for me would be flannelette warm PJs with some sort of nork support. I have Bravissimo vest pjs but none with sleeves. I need flannelette sleeves and support.

I have brushed cotton sheets and pillows, they are lush, especially the pillows, so soft and snugly. I use these and blankets and only sleep in pants and tshirt. I always get caught up if I wear something on my legs (don't know how)

Mypopcornface · 04/10/2012 14:43

It is sad that you feel that you can not wear what you like and have to go cold just to look sexy to your husband...

Madmog · 04/10/2012 14:49

I can't do without my cosy pjs. Lucky for me, my husband my hubby has some as well and takes the attitude he will get to what's underneath if he really wants!!

CountryBelle · 04/10/2012 17:05

Primark fleecy pjs all the way all year round!! I wouldnt give up my cosiness for anyone!

auldspinster · 04/10/2012 17:28

Slightly sheer strappy thermal vest with a wrap cardi over the top and brushed cotton bottoms?

Oh lord - longsleeved cotton jersey nightshirt perhaps with lacy v-neck (used to have a white one from Knickerbox and have been hunting high and low for a replacement this kind of thing but not quite ...) and matching thigh-high stockings ... NB they were not tight at the thigh!

You can get long socks that might do the trick. like this Mind you, may have to recalibrate your other half's idea of what "sexy" is!

We have a mattress topper and that makes the bed nice and warm.

rabbitonthemoon · 04/10/2012 20:47

Hush have some lovely things. Not sure if sexy..but very nice.

Electric blanket ? Grin

DonaAna · 05/10/2012 07:38

The classic alternative is to get a pair of men's pyjamas (the old-fashioned need-to-iron type). It can be very sexy to cross-dress a bit and not show any flesh.

Bodas do some classic looks that can be really good on the right person. I have some and they are good quality; the stripy ones are slightly sheer.

If you want to channel Madame Butterfly, wear a nemaki (Japanese bed kimono) - it's soft cotton lined with gauze, incredibly soft and warm against your skin, plus somebody can unwrap you like a present.

Eliza22 · 05/10/2012 09:40

Erm..... I probably ought not to say it, but I'm going to.

Your husband seems to have a great many things to say about what YOU should wear, to keep warm and comfortable, I bed. Now, I'm not suggesting that nice we've settled into the warm fuzzy p,ace that is, the committed relationship, we should go to bed in old t shirts and, holey socks and hair in curlers but honestly love, it's NOt a bloody fashion parade. I try to link nice in the day, for me, for those I'm around and of course, I love it when dh comes home and says "you look gorgeous today, sweetheart" but..... I don't want to be told what's sexy and not sexy in bed. I wear chemise type slips. I don't need socks cause my feet are like toast. I'm makeup free and hair brushed..... That's about it. I personally would never buy those long t shirt style nighties with cute animals on the front but, unless you WANT to have to get dressed up to be deemed "acceptable" to your dh in bed, I'd set him straight on a few things. Christ, he sounds like a "me, me, me" pain in the arse-type, to me.

Eliza22 · 05/10/2012 09:41

God.... I hate this iPad. Sorry, so many predictive mistakes, here.

Sunshinenow · 05/10/2012 09:45

Slightly off topic. But does anyone know where to get flannel / brushed cotton nightshirt? Warm hopefully. I don't like things on my legs at night.

missmartha · 05/10/2012 10:04

Warm night shirts here.

I also have a couple of pairs of their pjs.

They're not going to make me Play Bunny of the Month, but what the heck, they're toast and kinda timeless.

returnvisit · 05/10/2012 13:09

Thanks for all the suggestions.
My dh has not said anything to me about what I wear. I just want to make an effort to look nice for him, is that so wrong? He's not dictating anything thanks Eliza .

I like that dress ooer.

I don't think a solution exists but I found a vest top set with satin 3/4 bottoms which I may consider. Can't link on the iPad.

Figured I will have to compromise somehow!

Goodness I must be far too lazy, brushed cotton pj's come October for moi!

Tho DH sleeps v hot and we dont get to change the duvet or sheets at all during the year (that is they get washed but not less/more for hot/cold) so he cant have it both ways, thank goodness its never impacted our sex life!
