Best longish basic tops?

I need some basic long sleeved or 3/4 sleeved tops that are long and don't cost the earth. Is Primark my best bet? I got stung there buying two t-shirts a while back that shrunk and now graze my navel

H&M? They do 2 packs which are great value often one plain, one striped. I live in them, layer them and love them.

H&M have lomg sleeved t-shirts that have washed well, the ones I bought came in 2's in a selection of colours.

Me and Mrs Roger Sterling are the H&M fan club.

The stretchy ones from Primark are ok, never shrunk for me.

Matalan modal/cotton mix called 'soft touch' i think,though for some reason they don't do white.They do wash really well.

uniqlo they do a range of colours/necklines/sleeve lengths. Good quality and wash well

Another H&M vote. Lots of different variations/colours and IMHO wash very well.
