Blood tests results after hair thinning

Hi I posted a few weeks ago when I noticed that my hair had considerably thinned, I had a lot of blood tests done (thyroid, liver function, hormones, testosterone levels etc....) and they all came back entirely normal.

My youngest is 5 now so it's nothing to do with losing hair after pregnancy, and I am 36 years old so hopefully not pre menopausal yet, so I am wondering why.

It's not falling out in clumps or anything, just a general thinning, especially on top, and also the quality of my hair is awful, thin, lifeless, flat and dry.

I am currently taking supplements for hair, nails and skin (Perfectil) and have done for the past month or so, and I am kind of noticing quite a lot of short hair in the fringe area, and throughout the hair, and I am SOOOOOOOOO hoping that it's growing back.

Anyone else had a similar experience and then their hair grew back to normal?
Please say yes!! sad

I avoid looking at the back of my head in the mirror in sunlight. I can at a push see some scalp through the layers in certain areas. Its pretty soul destroying and yet just a glance at me or even a bit of a good look in normal light my hair looks pretty average. Not massively thick or anything but pretty good. If you didnt know me before i dont think you would have any idea. As i say, i dont have a wide parting. And the hair disappearing at the temples is the sort of thing you see even with people with thick hair, it can just be the way the hairline is. I will just get an outrageous hair piece Grin

Chipstick you didn't say whether seeing a trichologist helped? Are you on some sort of treatment and have you seen a bit of improvement or is it irreversible for you but stable?

Has anyone suffered hair loss hair thinning (telegon effluvium) due to stopping the contreceptive pill? I stopped taking it in June and at end Aug notice much more hair loss then normal, very upsetting, seen a dermatologist who said it was T.E and shd grow back, she didn't think it was the pill to blame but after searching internet almost every site said this could be a cause.
