satin for daytime maybe.
Passed a girl in the street the other day wearing a ruffled pink satin skirt w boots & casual jacket - looked v odd in my opinion.

Sateen is NOT satin. Sateen is a cotton fabric with a satin-like finish. It will be a heavy cotton fabric (slightly strechy with addition of elastene) but with a sheen, rather than matt finish.

Think of it like piant, you get matt, silk and soft sheen. Sateen is soft sheen, perfect for the day :)

BUT it's cotton, not man made fibres. On a really hot day we should all wear bikinis, but since we don't and lots of offices have air-con, I think that dress looks fab. My 'thing' which I need you to check Cod, is 'Lap Creases' !! You know if you have been sitting down all day or on the train, will you looklike a dish rag??

Senoracod · 27/03/2006 16:56

lol at all this thought
i m only ordering it for a look see!

crunchie · 27/03/2006 17:14

Perhaps I need to order it, only I tried over teh phone and they want me to open and account, Which I don't want.

Senoracod · 27/03/2006 18:29

ill buy it for you and get it delievred to your addy if you cat me

crunchie · 27/03/2006 20:11

That's really kind, but I think I'll go to town tomorrow lunchtime, as I also have a cheque to pay in. I'll order it at the shop, to be delivered there and then not pay for postage :)

Oasis said their dress might be in tomorrow so I'll try that too :)

Can you believe a thread of over 230 posts on shirt dresses :)

Senoracod · 27/03/2006 20:40

and i have ordered next one but we arent optimistic are we crunch

Senoracod · 27/03/2006 20:41

or Nailey

w e al think too long

crunchie · 27/03/2006 22:58

Someone liked the Hennes one, but loose buttons were an issue :)

I liked some of the Zara ones, but I was worried about cheap fabric, eg cheap linen that looks like a dishcloth and manages to be see throug atthe same time. I want something that looks good, has well placed buttons to give a decent flash of clevage and leg (not too mumsy) Straight/slightly A line skirt so we can move, and decent fabric so doesn't look cheap in 5 mins. Oh and non-gaping buttons too :)

You Beety could wear anything and look fab, you have effortless chic :)

Senoracod · 28/03/2006 09:12
