I am stuck, i want a pair of DM for the winter, my DS is due christmas eve and i will do alot of walking between now and after.

Do i go for a pair of £85 boots or get a few cheap pairs, including boots, flats etc?

How long does a pair of DM last? I want the serena black ones with fur.

My dms are 15 years old I dread having to buy new ones, since the company was sold off they are over priced and not the quality they used to be, I mean they're so cheap they had to bring out a new range to the specs of the originals I think it's called vintage range or classic something like that but they are even more money.

Frankly if I just wanted a pair of black work horses I'd go to an army surplus or builders shop and get a pair of grafters or something far cheaper and far better quality, just a shame they don't do em in red.

I was an avid DM wearer in my yoof, I used to religiously stick a fresh fabric plaster on each heel, every morning, and it used to take a couple of months to wear them in. Once done, I agree they are fab & comfy, look much heavier than they feel.

Tempted to dig my old ones back out (cherry reds or classic blacks? Hmm)
