What do I do with my hair for work?

Started a thread recently and got some great advice about dry shampoo so thought I would try my luck again!

I have fairly thin shoulder length straight hair, a bit static-y sometimes. No fringe, extreme side parting. I am probably going to grow it longer as my face suits either having my hair up or bobbed but not too loose.

Normally I just shove it up with an elastic band but whilst it looks fine from the front I have a large head and the thinness of my hair makes the hair look very thin and small (something I hate) in proportion. I have heard of sock buns - are they literally a thing you wrap your hair around to get volume?

I am really low-maintenance and hate faff but a ponytail isn't sophisticated enough for the office (my hair curls at the ends so I look like a six year old). Are there any easy up-dos or styles of slips that would make my hair look more voluminous please? I spent most of my teenage experimental years with a bob so I have no clue Confused

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Can't help on the ideas, I'm lacking too! But here is a good explanation of a sock bun.

Have a look on Pinterest for hair inspiration. A lot come with step by step guides.

Thank you both - I'm mad on Pinterest but it totally slipped my mind to look there!
