Breathable jacket

I have got my bike out after years of inaction, loving it, but can't find a jacket that is properly breathable - I am a sweaty mess after even fairly short rides! Is there a breathable and waterproof jacket out there? If it is ugly and fluorescent I don't mind, but I would rather not pay an arm and a leg if possible...

I have a bright pink cheapy Dare2be for commuting. It may as well be a plastic bag. I also have an Altura Nevis, which may be the sweatiest jacket known to man. I tend to just wear a windproof (Montane Featherlite) and get dry off later.

For the highest breathability you are looking for fabrics such as Pertex Shield and Goretex Active Shell, unfortunately products using these are usually in arm and leg territory. You're looking at £100-200.

Wiggle and Chain Reaction often have deals. Outdoor shops will be selling off summer stock this time of year too.
