Work clothes for office job

Hello!

wondering if anyone can help. im starting a new job on monday within an office/call centre enviroment and l need help with finding suitable clothes! no idea what is acceptable etc. i'm thinking black trousers and smartish tops? maybe a few cardigans?
what do you all wear?

Congrats on the new job.

I'd avoid buying too much before hand until you get a feel for the place - maybe black trousers and a smartish top to start with, but I've worked in a few call centres and they can be pretty diverse in their dress codes (and how they are interpreted). You'll probably find it's gone through in the first few days of training anyway but if not, some people watching may be required.

The last one I worked in, for women it was pretty much "no jeans, and skirt must cover your ass, no strappy tops, no FCUK slogans, no leggings"
