These are waterproof and very comfy and fit big calves. I have had some for the last two years although I paid £40 a pair in the sale.

Merrell Prevoz - Sports Direct have them for £80, and they really last

I like the look of them whyme2 but from their measurements they come up to my knee Blush sorry forgot to mention I'm only 5ft .

CMOT- they look lovely but are sold out in my size (5) .Would they really fit over my calves? Do you have a pair?

Yes - I have huge calves, but as they properly lace up, you can adjust them as you like

Have you looked at Duo Boots? They have a range of calf measurements.

nobodysfool · 23/09/2012 15:49

Argh now Im really gutted as they have sold out in my size.
thereistheball- I have a pair of Duo boots and a little underwhelmed as they flap about my ankles...worth a look though.

I think if you google Tamaris, they produce a range of boots so they might have something else for a shortie that would do the job.

Celtic sheepskin aqualamb?
Stylo riding boots (are made from rubber not leather but cut like a riding boot), buy a size bigger than normal and wear with thick socks?
