Ski jackets?

And ski pants too. What are the best colours and styles?
Don't want to look frumpy, blingy or 18

Maybe it's too early?

What sort of budget?
I tend to stick to the plain salopettes and colourful jacket combination and have a Schoeffel suit which has stood me in good stead for the last few years. Most importantly it keeps me a lot warmer than the C&A suit which it replaced.

As far as I can see the tweed or denim-look trousers seem to be most popular with snowboarding teenagers and not many people over 3 or under 60 wear one-piece suits any more, at least not in the Austrian alps. Looking at one of the local sports shop's website, they are selling lots of jackets in plain reds, blues and greens for the coming winter.

Budget was for discounted mid-range stuff, so around £90.

I bit the bullet and I bought some stuff last night off ebay, and have actually gone for similar to your suggestion - a colourful Surfanic jacket and plain grey O'Neill pants.

I was thinking plain black with colourful accessories but all the jackets are quite boxy or baggy and all I could think was 'Milk Tray Man'

Will look out for teenagers in tweed. LOL

I see you have bought your outfit already but if you need accesssories, like hats, gloves etc TKMaxx have quite good stuff usually from October, Decathlon is good and cheap and also I see that H&M are doing ski-stuff for grown ups now- their kids stuff is pretty good. the only thing that i wouldnt scrimp on are gloves

I live close enough to the mountains to go for day trips, so with any luck I can get some skiing in at the end of the season. I have to push a baby out and recover before then. I'll certainly do some cross-country as it's a great way of getting got and isn't as hard on the ligaments.

My ski suit was a bit more than your budget, but has lasted for nine seasons and had a lot of use, so well worth it.

I completely agree on the gloves. Mine have two layers - a windstopper inner glove and outer mittens for really cold days.
