I need an interview bag...

I should point out I haven't got the interview yet, but if I get one, I want to spend the time between finding out and having it rehearsing my lines not searching for the perfect bag.
I have always lived with a rucksack (bad back) and consequently have no idea where to start, can anyone point me in the direction of a dynamic bag please?

What sort of job?

My perfect interview bag would be a Zatchel's satchel in cream or red, large enough to hold a laptop, notes and any paperwork, but might not suit your look/the job.

Peony and Moore do lovely, elegant bags.

Sorry can't link as on phone

Have a look at TK MAXX for good cheapish roomy bags.Osprey are lovely and posh looking.
What sector?Dress for the culture.Good luck

<a class="break-all" href="//wwwwww.peonyandmoore.com/product_info.php?cPath=0_12&products_id=163" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Here - smart but understated and has a long shoulder strap if you want.

bunionscomingsoon · 20/09/2012 18:26

here even! - sorry rubbish at links - but this bag looks the business and has 3 compartments. I have sent for it as my new Winter 'smart' bag -- dying to see it . . . .

IronMonger · 20/09/2012 18:51

Blimey! I should point out I have a budget of about £20 - £30 Blush
I won't need to carry a laptop, or lippy (I'm a rubbish female, I don't do make-up either), just a (non-smart) phone, keys and if possible my MBTs that I will have taken off in the tube and replaced with beautiful but crippling pointy things.
The job is in a university, but on the technical admin side of things.
Thanks for your suggestions so far, any others considering this extra info?

Sorry Euphemia, it does sound rather ridiculous, but I don't think my manky rucksack would give the right impression!

this is a lovely bag and I thnk it fits the bill. Don't be put off by the picture it looks super in the flesh and you have the choice whether to wear it cross the body (better for the back) or by the shoulder straps. I love it and I get super comments about it wherever I go.

Actually don't get it, Wink don't want it becoming to popular!!!

LunarRose · 21/09/2012 12:15

I'd be surprised if it didn't have space for the trainers too

jammiecat · 21/09/2012 14:34

I like the bag LunarRose linked to or how about this one:

www.next.co.uk/x50374s6 (depending on the colour of your outfit). If wearing black, grey etc would work lovely although is more purple than berry in reality than it looks.

Or how about: www.next.co.uk/g483242s3 (tan)
or www.next.co.uk/x50370s4 (black and only £23)
Or www.next.co.uk/x502370s5
www.next.co.uk/x503370s2 (patent)
www.next.co.uk/g6576s1

Quite a number that could potentially be suitable on the Next site.
(I work at a University BTW and would take any of those on an interview)
