What am I meant to wear on my feet then?

due to the cold weather, I need socks! Now I can't get away with beloved flats/ballet style pumps and straight/skinny jeans, what should I wear? I am always a lifetime year behind on fashion and not too bothered about this but have a basic requirement of not looking silly. My main aim is too be unremarkable.

I am wearing calf length boots with my skinnies tucked in. How about biker boots?

Would these do? I know everyone is wearing those Fly boots but they are a bit ubiquitous even for me now. And so several seasons ago I'm sure...

Why can't you wear the boots you linked OP? They would look fine with skinnies/straights.

I'm wearing superga trainers at the moment, or calf length biker boots.

Love the look of brogues but can't justify them right now.

I look like a plonker in ankle boots, but I'm sure the perfect pair are out there somewhere.

Brogues are not my thing I don't think. A bit trendy perhaps? I don't know what I want, something nice, comfy and practical. But Nice. Not Cotton Traders clogs, which sounds like what I just described
