Talk me through tights

I want some wool ones for winter. Where's a good place to get them? Am I looking for "wool blend"? And if so, what are they blended with?

John Lewis do some great wooly tights (think it is 100 denier) in lots of colours; at least they did the last few winters.

Am sure someone.more stylish than me (not difficult) could tell you about what colours are for this season...
