How many coats do you own?

I have a thing about not buying clothes that I don't need.

I am thinking of buying a casuak parka, but already have:

One wool coat- Boden- now into 4th winter but lovely ( it's plain dark grey)
One wool coat Jigsaw - gorgeous and best but can be dressed down with jeans etc.
One new dark colour trench coat Mint Velvet
One waxed biker jacket.

Numerous fleeces/ Gortex for walking - not town wear.

Would that get you through the autumn/ winter or can I buy a parka guilt-free?

Ski Jackets - 3
Soft shell
Winter Riding jacket
Light Riding jacket
Riding gilet
Casual gilet - 2
Casual fleece jacket
Suede coat
Long leather coat
Leather jacket
Camel wool coat
White wool coat
Red trench

That's 16 off the top of my head. I love coats.

I have 1 wool coat for winter, 1 mac-type jacket for spring/summer, waterproof jacket for hiking etc, and a ski jacket.

If I was to buy another coat though, it probably would be a casual warm parka-type thing for dog walking etc in the colder weather, then I could keep the nice wool coat for work etc. So I would say go for it, if it would fill a coat 'need' that isn't already covered by one of your existing coats. And if you can afford it and have room for another coat (storage is my main issue).

One warm and toasty padded one for watching football
One wool short jacket

Too many, and only one of them practical

1 vintage fake-fur dark brown coat
1 vintage fake-fur blonde coloured coat
1 vintage raw silk bottle green opera coat
1 vintage wool navy double-breasted coat with white piping
1 full length tweed coat with immense grey fur collar
1 military type parka thing (worn twice )

I will show DH this thread as he thinks I have too many coats, but I am lacking sorely I think!

I have:
1 blue wool
1 dark pink patterned wool
Khaki showerproof parka type thing
Boden black showerproof

Couple of blazery type things. I really need a proper waterproof as I walk or bike everywhere, but it is impossible to find a plastic coat that isn't vile. I don't generally go for black coats, I like colour, but when I got the Boden one only the black was in stock in my size.

beau you have a lot of catching up to do!!

TBH DH thinks I have to many coats and I know that he is right.
BUT when you are wandering round and you see the most fantastic coat you just think 'OHHHHHH, that's so nice, this will be the last coat I ever buy!!'

I forgot to mention my new favourite coat.
I got it last year but have only just started to wear it.
It is a thigh length checky Roxy coat that is lovely and snug.
