Boots with short skirts

I've bought a couple of Boden denim mini skirts that are just above the knee. I have knee high boots which I could wear with them but what about ankle boots. Do they 'go'?

I've seen these...expensive but just do gorgeous. But need to be sensible and not buy just because they're cute.

Both also come in tan/brown. What is the most sensible colour do you think? Mainly to be worn with black tights with the skirts, or any dresses I have.

Could I also wear these with jeggings? Leggings and Tunics?

I'm a bit if a novice when it comes to ankle boots, the last pair I wore was prob 30 years ago in the 80s!

I've always worn ankle boots w/ skirts/ dresses. Looks fine -- just have to keep your legs warm.

I would think about something other than black tights with denim. I like gray.

The boots you linked to are nice. Have you considered brown?

I find ankle boots much more wearable than knee highs, they go with everything, go for it.
