And I don't want to be grey. The worst but is at the side of my head at the front. Don't want to dye the whole lot so is there anything suitable to touch up?

Mine is the same, and is very stubborn. Try pre treating with hydrogen peroxide, apparently helps the resistant grey hold the colour. zYou need the 20% vol. stuff.

For touch ups, I use a small amount of my normal hair colour, couple of teaspoons of each part

I've got v resistant grey. My older (by a yr) brother has a full head of beautiful silver hair, so I reckon I'm about 70% grey (at 41! Gee thanks ancestors!!)

Anyhoo, now that I have established my grey cred, I absolutely must insist that you all immediately switch to sulfate free shampoos. It has changed my life!!

Last yr I had to use a very dark flat brown (cos red would grab, then fade to orange within weeks). Now I am a lovely goldeny dark blonde which I love. It's much easier to keep as grey doesn't show through, and the colour stays true!!

Green People do a good sulfate free shampoo. Also moogoo. I don't rate the new L'Oreal one tho. Makes my hair v lank.
