Please Help! I need ideas for what to wear to a muslim wedding in Dubai hosted by very very rich people please!

I've been invited out there in December, but I really have to sort out something suitable to wear.

I imagine most people will be in designer ball gowns. Short sleeves are ok, as are dresses below the knee (no back or slits though).

It is a mixed wedding (not seperated into men and womne) and almost everyone there will be very rich and able to spend a lot on their outfits.

I just want to fit in and feel good and enjoy the whole experieince! I am willing to make a dress too so feel free to link to expensive dresses that I could copy!

Thanks

Ideally I need suggestions for my mum too! She would quite like something with lacy sleeves or lacy all over...

How about something like this? or maybe not your thing at all

would this appeal to your mum? Too much shoulder?

Some nice ideas Mrs. Lettuce.

Love the Nordstrom website, had never heard of them before, lovely stuff!!!

have found this which might do for me.

I rather like this very very expensive Preen dress - something like that?

I imagine bling-tastic would be where it is at.

Have you thought about something like a plain coloured evening dress with maybe shawl in lace or something with lots of embroidery, or again a plain dress but with a statement necklace?

If you live in the UK usually have you tried girl meets dress? cheaper way to get a nice designer dress you won't have you buy and never wear again!

MrsSnow that's a good idea actually, there are lots of nice plain long ball gown type dreses that could be binged up.

Joanof I could never wear a dress like that, sorry!

Strawberry I have just been looking at dresses to rent as a good option too!
