I've just added a couple of new jumpers to my collection so I'm already thinking A/W tooGrin

ujjayi · 15/09/2012 19:30

Erm yes. Tis Autumn after all

Knitwear, tights, layering tops and footwear need to be first on your list.

Meta4 · 15/09/2012 19:35

I've been thinking of it since June.

I'm a winter person through and through. :)

maisiebabe · 15/09/2012 19:35

Definitely. Whats on your wishlist?
Was out all day in nowt but jeans & cotton shirt and froze in the northern wind. Am on the hunt for a grey slouchy jumper to wear with any ideas? Has to be mid/ charcoal, not silvery grey, casual enough for weekend but smart enough to wear to work on fat days Smile.

Oh, and where to buy shorts? Had dreamt that flattering flannel or tweed shorts in, again, grey, or a bright colour existed..

Oops meant to call the fabulous poster, "show of hands", back to S&B. I love her writing style!!! She generally pops in with a request to help source an outfit.

Happy to chat about A/W more generally though!

Am thinking i need:

Jeans- am toying with baby boot cuts. I am a bit bored of skinnies. Love them still but would like an alternative.

Silky blouse. A blush colour.

Some ankle boots and possibly a wedge trainer. Am thinking Ash Jalouse. Loved my pair last year and ash again for trainer...

Fantastic scarf. Always buy a new one every winter

Leather gloves. A colour. Am a spring so would have to work with my colours.

I've been thinking A/W2012 for about a month, so far I have the Uniqlo cords, a fab coat, charcoal polo neck, cream oversized jumper from Mango, black cowl neck top, white shirt, black lace pencil skirt, two pairs of boots, black and burgundy skinnies.

On my list are - same requirement for charcoal grey jumper, denim shirt, perfect black slim 7/8ths, patent brogues, straight leg/boyfriend jeans. I really need the trousers ASAP.

Cherrypie32 · 15/09/2012 20:33

I bought this grey slouch jumper at the same time as the cords and am very pleased with it shop.uniqlo.com/uk/goods/073572%23colorSelect

Have just had my lush, blue, wool winter coat back from the dry cleaners. So definitely that time of year.

What I want is (more) polo necks. In lots of neutral shades, plus navy, forest green, wine, and rust. I dream of slim fitting polo necks in thick cotton with just the right amount of stretch that allow them to sit tight to the body.

I bloody love polo necks. They mean I can still wear all my favourite dresses in the winter - I just put a polo neck underneath them and bobs your uncle.

A polo neck tucked into a pair of slim fitting trousers worn with a pair of heels is definitely my thing. Minimal effort, but always looks chic (that's what I think anyway).

Plus polo necks are now the height of fashion apparently, so this season I will be fashionable too! Wahey!

I was actually seriously contemplating putting away my summer clothes but it was hot again today...

I need to find some wintery black shoes/boots but not seen anything I like yet.

Oh flaming nora, this bloody iPad has just lost my post because I went looking for a link Angry grrrr.

Anyway, to the subject in hand, I adore autumn. Love it when the sales are ending and 'proper' clothes appear once again. My Wishlist is as long as your arm, reality is much shorter!

Thus far, I've bought the Uniqlo skinny cords in grey and an Aigle Lomyland jacket in bronze (it's green really) - am really delighted with it.

The wishlist .... boots - ankle with a heel and in an ideal world knee length too in tan but it will be one or the other. I'd like to buy a nice cashmere cardigan and have my eye on (and if I lose this by going to copy and paste a link I really will scream!) this but dithering over colours - warm biscuit, safe, neutral and classic or deep sapphire (out of stock for 9 weeks now).

I've loved tunics, leggings and boots the last few years but think they're probably a bit passé now. Maye a nice knitted dress - Hobbs do one called Chloe which looks nice or the Hush Henley but haven't been impressed with a previous Hush order.

Need to freshen up everyday tops - long sleeved t's which I can layer with cardigans. And a nice scarf or two. Oh, and I do need new jeans - was also thinking baby bootcuts as a change from skinnies. And, finally, a smart pair of trousers as I do not possess a single, smart item of clothing anymore. Actually, they're an essential.

Eh, that's about it Grin!
