As quilted jackets go, this one looks fine - good length and flattering shape.

If you're in two minds, you probably need to decide where you stand on the whole quilted jacket look. It seems to me they're one of those garments which started off years ago as an un-trendy upper-crust staple, then became adopted as an "aspirational" look, (Guy Ritchiie "country gent") / Joules type of thing), and may have now moved down market (recently heard someone describe them as "chavvy").

Maybe I've read too much into it - is it the image thing that's making you hold back?

part of me thinks granny jacket when i see them but this one is definatly the nicest of the ones ive come across. I have not followed fashion for years but having just hit my goat weight size 10 Grin i want to start making a little effort, all the shops seem to have either quilted or biker jackets in and leather just isnt me.

What about a mac or a parka instead?
I think quilted jackets have passed the point of no return...

not a fan of macs not yet seen a parka i like but perhaps. Im after a nice but casual look, something i can wear shopping in town and do the school run in. I really am fashion clueless so not sure what suits, im 5 ft 6, size 10, mid twenties, hourglass shape dont like anything that defines my waist so nothing belted etc not got a lot to spend under £50 preferably
