Snow boots

Anyone recommend some snow boots, my Caterpillars have worn out after three years of heavy service.

Must be fleece-lined, waterproof (or at least waterproofable with spraying), not ugly and durable. And not Uggs! Budget up to £100. Was looking at Merrell Puffins but they get mixed reviews on Amazon...

Oh god I really like the Sorels. Can't decide between Caribou and Joan Of Arctic, the latter prettier but lots of people on their site say they dig in at the heel...

Love love my merrell Oslo in brown. Had them 3 years and no complaints. Seen plenty snow in Scotland. See the black on sale here www.sportsdirect.com/merrell-oslo-waterproof-boots-ladies-276220
Bargain! DH has Sorel and they are great too...

I have just ordered Joan of Arctics from asos.com - hope they fit!

I've just bought a pair of Merrell Oslos but having received them am not quite sure... just caught sight of the Merrell Natalya and prefer the look but they seem to have somewhat mixed reviews so am not sure either!

MegBusset · 14/09/2012 22:34

I didn't really like the lace thingy at the back of the Oslos. The Joan of Arctics look lurvely.

Oh dear, just started looking at the Sorels and now am even more undecided Grin

Glowlamp · 14/09/2012 22:40

Stuff foot in boot and off you go with the Oslo. Practical for me... Tbh the lace gets on my nerves occasionally but it will be tied in a knot this year!

I have some CAT Caribou and North Face Nuptsie Boots that I love. A few years ago I had some from Next (yes, I know) similar to these
www.next.co.uk/women/shoes/boots-wellies/22 they were very comfortable, light and a good price.

monopod · 14/09/2012 22:55

Oops just realised that you had found your boots OP Blush Hope you love them when they arrive!

Now I'm also looking at the Merrell Winterbelle Peak: www.outdoorkit.co.uk/product.php?product_id=11592&utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=froogle Grin

monopod · 14/09/2012 22:58

And this one is the Natalya: www.outdoorkit.co.uk/product.php?product_id=12021&category_id=2173

I have a pair of Joan of arctic's under my bed waiting for some snow. I ordered them from amazon.com and they were way way cheaper than buying in the uk. I had tried them on here first so knew my size.

I had Sorel Tofinos last year, but all the cool kids in the ski resort were wearing Joans.

trixymalixy · 15/09/2012 08:32

Whoever was asking who stocked Sorel, I tried them on in a shop called Greaves sports in Glasgow, but have seen them in Ellis Brigham, Tiso and other shops that sell skiwear.

daimbardiva · 15/09/2012 17:49

I have olang snowboots. They were about sixty quid online and they are fab. Really cosy and make me feel like a bond girl :-)

CMOTDibbler · 15/09/2012 17:55

I've got Merrell Prevoz - brilliant, so warm, and I like the zip/lace combo so they work with everything.
