Roma Dress

Does anyone have it? I'd like ot get it but the mixed reviews have me worrying.

I'm 5'7", vary between a size 8 and 10 depending on the shop, but the reviews suggest it is on the loose size and sizing down would be good.

Any opinions whatsoever very much appreciated!

is this the Ponte one on the email?

It's Ok...but nothing special imo, and I hate Ponte with a vengeance. Why use nice, modern, normal fabrics when you can revive some seventies manmade sh*te?

(sorry)

There will be nicer things for less money.

SuperB0F · 13/09/2012 16:50

God, but it's dull! It would look good in a nice print though.

EdMcDunnough · 13/09/2012 16:50

Ah sorry tis a different one...I'm afraid I don't like the style. And it's still ponte isn't it?

SuoceraBlues · 13/09/2012 16:52

It's a bit...meh.

overmydeadbody · 13/09/2012 16:53

Not usre if it's ponte?

Oh dear. I thought it looked sophisticated and smart, it's completely different to my style which is patterned/bright/flowey and layered, but thought I could do with something 'sensible' and mature for job interviews and such

So would it not make me look elegant and sophisticated and to be taken seriously then?

Shall I just go for the more colourful fun dresses that I like?

There is something a little sacklike about that dress.
It might be good for work (for people that get to wear proper clothes for work, ie not me)

EdMcDunnough · 13/09/2012 16:55

Yes you really should Grin

Stuff sophisticated, that's just boring. I do know what you mean though...always tempting to try a new side of yourself.

AlfalfaMum · 13/09/2012 16:58

Are you tempted by the Audrey dress? I'd definitely give it a shot if I could justify it, especially if I was an 8-10 :)

ihatethecold · 13/09/2012 16:58

I really like it Grin
If I wasn't skint, I might be tempted

overmydeadbody · 13/09/2012 16:58

Thankd Ed Grin

You've made me feel better actually!

I was having a style crisis thinking I always look to casual! But I don't even have a job that requires smart outfits!

I've got a voucher for Boden though, and I've never bought anything from there before so thought it would be a good idea Grin

All I've actually bought for myself from Boden this season is socks. They are bloody good socks :o

NCForNow · 13/09/2012 17:02

I think it looks a bit like a tabbard!

overmydeadbody · 13/09/2012 17:03

Audrey dress too smart and too expensive!

I like this casual belted dress though, more my style (if a bit boring in colour, though the teal is nice)

Alfa that's a good idea actually, that or I end up spending the vouchers on something for DS! (altohugh their boy's stuff is quite boring)

They have got some nice stuff in the clearance (only bit I ever look at!)

I'm sure you look lovely in your normal things.
