Mum boots and a spa

I need some flat biker style boots that I can easily wear with skinnies or cute dresses and leggings. I want them to be slightly gappy around the top rather than tight fitting. They need to take a 2-3 mile walk a day and to take me from country to London, do a day in the office and then get me back home.

I also am looking for an overnight spa break. I thought Champneys but my god that is expensive! Does anyone know of anything overnight in the south east area, decent spa, nice room, must have a pool. Want to go mid-October, don't mind when or what day of the week, I just need some time away, single or with a friend!

The mum boots are a tall order, I know!

Can't link as on my phone but I have the Majorca Sun boots ( crap name) from Clarks and have walked miles in them.

Can't help you on the spa break Smile

Forest Mere in Hampshire (although that might be part of Champneys?)

The Sanctuary in Covent Garden (no accommodation but could get something on late rooms?)

Penny hill Park? Chewton Glen?

Careys in the New Forest has a great spa.

Or somewhere in Wokingham that I will now have to google for the name...Blush

Alexandra House is Sussex has a lovely spa. Not stayed there but heard good things. They apparently do a great deal on a Sunday where you get spa access, a treatment or two, dinner and breakfast, for £160. Not checked it out myself but a friend did it last month.

*in Sussex

Centerparcs do spa breaks now and they are good!

I love those first Blowfish boots but I had a bad experience with some from that brand last year as the soles badly degraded. Was I just unlucky?

That Wokingham spa looks fab. Forest Mere is Champneys which was heading towards £300 for a nights break, which I wouldn't find that relaxing.

I have been to Pennyhill Park which is lush but I checked it out on last minute already and it was £210 per person for one night. Actually worth it for what you get but I was looking for cheaper. Then again, if I spend less on the boots...

Unlucky I think - I've had lots of their boots that have lasted well. Smile

I live in store.drmartens.co.uk/p-7824-dr-martens-gayle-boot.aspx
Warm, comfortable, can walk the dog. I paid £70.

I'd definitely recommend nirvana spa. It's very nice.

No help on boots though sorry!

Sparklegeek · 13/09/2012 16:31

Grange in Kent, sister hotel to Alexandra House mentioned above, we paid £150 per person for a Sunday night stay, 2 25 min treatments each, spa access, dinner & breakfast. Was larvely Smile About a 10 minute drive from Bluewater for retail therapy too..

Those DMs are nice by I don't know if they work in the office. But that Kent spa looks fab and cheap? Must be a catch!
