hi i have my hair highlighted but am never 100% happy with the colour and want to go back to my natural colour. Has anyone successfully coloured at home to match their natural colour in order to grow out the colour gradually? or is it worth getting it done at the hairdressers?

I would always go hairdressers, I've added colour at home on top of blonde highlights to go darker because I wanted to go back to my natural colour and it went very orange!!

thanks for the reply. I have coloured on top of colour before but it always ends up looking a bit rubbish, not orange just not great!

I had exactly this done 2 weeks ago. I was advised by the wise ladies of MN to go to the hairdressers ...................... and I did. Definitely get this done professionally: they'll match colour to your original colour and you won't have a disaster. HTH.

Had it done at the hairdressers with absolutely no problem.
