So I've bought my first ever pair f skinnies

Baby is 3 weeks old and I'm 3 stone heavier than I'd like to be. So I'm a size 16....

Need some tops to wear over the skinnies and some long line cardies OH and some foot wear.

Watching this thread with interest too. Had my baby 6 days ago and in a style rut. I am keen to pack away my maternity wear, and the flat ballet pumps that I lived in through pregnancy. Am off to buy skinnies tomorrow, but I am just like you OnlyWantsOne- need ideas for long floaty tops and footwear! And a nice facewash????

I've just got some nice long cardigans from next. Cover the bottom right up, v good thing when it's as big as mine .

As for the tops, I'm watching with interest.

I just got the purple version of this which works well over skinnies - I'm quite curvy and wear a 16 in jeans, with big hips and thighs and this looks lovely on.

I have the same problem. Ds will be 12 weeks on Friday. I have gone from a size 10 to a 12-14. Trying to diet but in the meantime I still want to look good! Weight mainly on my hips and thighs so need long tops to cover it up. Looked in shops but struggling to find anything.

I am size 16 at the moment having Put on a lot of weight recently.I wear M and s jeggings with a long vest top [covering bum] with a zip backed t shirt from Matalan-available in a plethora of colours.i wear mine with a long silk scarf with skulls on [tk maxx] plus a long cashmere cardigan [as it was cold yesterday]-again from T K Maxx.The Zip backed t shirts are loose and a bit 60's on. My footwear is lace up fur lined wedge booties from M&S that i can tuck the jeggings into.

If you look at dresses too, some are so indecently short they make fab floaty tops :)

I like this for example. Too expensive you are planning on losing weight really.

Can you wear converse (and socks) with skinnies?

FACE WASH - Liz Earle OR boots number 7 cloth cleanser & bio oil on at night time :) especially going into winter my akin suffers terrible

Have a look here, lots of ideas for tummy concealing tops. The poster is a bit conscious of her tum, although new mums should all have a moratorium on worrying about that I think

Do avoid empire line tops and shirts like the plague - they'll make you look still pregnant!

Still can't find A cardigan I like

Waterfall cardigans get a pasting on here and there are some howlers. however there are also decent ones out there and they are very flattering, over skinnies and tops which are maybe not quite long enough to be worn on their own over jeans. Try TKMaxx.
