Are loccitiane products 100% natural? The website is useless.

If so where's the cheapest place to buy, i know they change a damn sight more here then in France.

They are very very far from being all natural.

Breakdown of a product here.

DonaAna · 12/09/2012 10:35

Yes, and to add, nearly nothing in cosmetics or perfumery is all-natural. There are some all-natural perfumes, but they are both expensive and fleeting. Synthetics are needed to fix the perfume (unless you use natural extracts from ambergris whales, civet cats and musk deer). Natural flower extracts are used sparingly even in high end perfumery - they are extremely expensive.

I was looking at the hand cream and soaps, my mum says they are a lot cheaper in France.

It should be law that they put ingredients on the websites.

Well, even the most natural castile soap is made from lye and olive oil. Up to you whether lye is natural or not. If the soaps are perfumed, the perfuming agents are nearly always synthetic (because soap requires a lot of perfume oil - too expensive for mass market lines).

I can highly recommend these soaps if you are looking for something natural, they are lovely.

They make a beautiful hand cream too.

I've heard this said before but never seen any such claims, i like some of lushes stuff i check what's in them on their website before making a list to take to the shop, the only thing I've noticed them saying is that they are handmade no claims of 100% natural or anything.

Had a look at neals yard rather surprised about them crabtree and evelyn are better.

no, l'occitane has cr*p in it, plus they're starting animal testing,
lush products (bar their masks that you keep in fridge because they only last a week) all contain parabens...
no need to go to France to buy anything, there are LOADS of lovely brands, all price ranges available in the UK! from £10 to £100!

SunWukong · 12/09/2012 15:14

They don't all contain parabens the shampoo bars don't, the lip scrub don't, some of the soaps don't.
