Badly dressed husband

My husband insists on dressing like a pimp/teenage chav. (Board shorts, nasty trainers with thick socks, t-shirts with sports logos, baseball cap). He is 43. (!) He hates shopping and gets bored and stops after about 2 minutes, so never buys anything. I actually don't care what he wears for mooching around but would be good if he had one or two decent things for going out.

I was thinking maybe I could try to get him to buy some clothes (sort of smart casual or casual) from a catalogue. Are there any nice clothes catalogues for men? They don't even have to be that nice - I am working from a VERY low base point...

thank you!

Erm, what sort of stuff was he wearing while you got to know him? Does he have a heavy hand in your choice of clothing? Can't see why should he submit to your (presumably superior / nicer / more adult) taste otherwise. Sorry.

Leave the bastard!

I quite like the mens Joe Brown stuff actually. My dh is too tall for it but I often look weirdo my dh does know how to do smart and smart/casual all by himself though Wink

and, if he wants to change his look he should pull his finger out and shop like an adult. Or just officially give you the job and wear what he's told.

Not sure about catalogues but you could try buying something online for him?

DS gets most of his stuff from Gap, Zara, Reiss, Designers at Debenhams, M&S Autograph, ASOS, Paul Smith sample sales.....

Good luck!

DS?? Erm DS is 7 months old and does not shop in those places!

I meant DP!

My Hubby is super casual, and I get him stuff from Fat Face.

I know its borin but I think Next can be quite good and easy for men that aren't really in to clothes.
