How to slim a round face/weighty neck?!!!!!

OK, so i'm a bit of an odd-ball in shape. I have skinny arms, carry most of my weight around my tummy/middle, use to have skinny legs, although they not too bad now. No matter what size my body is, i always have a round face and still carry weight around my neck. I don't have what i call a 'proper' profile iukwim?

So how do i make my face/neck appear slimmer with the help of make up/hair styles? I like my hair long, so limited really as to what hairstyle i can have. Its just below shoulder length. I think having it short only shows off my short, thick neck. I have a side fringe. Make up wise, i usually use a bronzer in the hollow of my cheeks when sucking in then apply a pinky based blusher on the 'apples' of my cheeks. I can't afford surgery so only have make up as an option. Is there any exercises i can do for my neck? Really bothering me lately as had a few photos snapped of me on my phone that i wasn't aware of and my neck/face looks hideous :(

I carry my weight around my neck as well. My solution was to go on a diet! Sorry that's not very helpful! Grin

A layered haircut to frame the face? Think that makes it look slimmer.

I don't think bronzer is good for the hollows of the cheeks - you'd be better off with a contour powder like MAC's Harmony. Also try running a small dusting of contour powder along the outer edges of the jawline to create the illusion of better definition.

I'm no expert, but I have similar issues!

I think V or scoop-necked tops draw the eye down and away from your neck and face, making it look more Natalie Portman than Nigel from Eastenders. I have the same problem, I look like a wee chipmunk if I wear something with a high neckline.

There are lots of facial exercises on utube which might help a bit

I too have a round face, dieting has made quite a difference, but I will never have 'bone structure' !
You need big hair (height on top can elongate a face). Or google/check Pintrest for face sculpting pictures (where you use blusher bronzer and highlighter to give yourself cheekbones etc).
Could also detract with V-necks as mentioned by Craic or long necklaces.
I console myself with the thought that perhaps I have a baby face and will look younger longer Grin

Are you me? I was just thinking of starting a thread about accessories for those with fat necks.... I actually have growths on my thyroid which makes my neck swollen. I am paranoid about it!
