Hi,
Hope someone can help. I have suffered from hair loss from the top and sides of my head routinely and at this stage I have short hair and it is quite thin on the sides especially. There is also a gap at the top front but I can disguise that by flicking to the sides. My main problem with it is that its fine as well as thin and I have to wash it everyday because after a nights sleep its standing up at the sides and you can see my scalp. So anyway, my question for you ladies is, is there any product I can use to stop it from sticking up and get at least two days from a wash or a dry shampoo that would sort it out next morning. I've even considered using a wig or an old lady hair net to see if it would work but haven't had the courage to sink that far.
Any suggestions bar shaving it appreciated ......

Could you not clip it into place overnight with a hair grip to stop it sticking up?

If its any consolation, the world renowned trichologist Philip Kingsley advocates washing your hair everyday.

I know it's not a permanent solution but just thought I'd mention someone i know who experienced total hair loss a few years' ago as a result of chemotherapy purchased a wig. The salon she went to was immensely helpful and sensitive to her concerns. It did wonders for her confidence. They were able to advise her on something that suited her and looked quite natural. Her hair did grow back but she found wearing a wig for the intervening months was a real boon. I don't know if in your case, wearing a wig would somehow damage your scalp or hair further, but if you can afford it, it might be worth considering.
