Help me decide between 2 watches!

Hi,

I have managed to narrow my watch hunt down to these two. Admittedly I haven't looked too far, namely Fossil, John Lewis and Nixon!

So far my short list comprises of these:

www.blackleaf.com/Nixon-Watch-Nixon-Kensington-Womens-Watch-White/blp3917.htm

and this face (bottom left) with strap on top right

www.fossil.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ContentView?langId=10&storeId=32553&catalogId=25005&N=0&page=wb

Whatcha think? Or any other suggestions in a similar price bracket? I already have a watch with a silver strap and navy face.

thanks, Pie

Fossil, I love mine!

PeriPathetic · 10/09/2012 20:14

Def the Fossil. Gorgeous.

And for you making me look at watches (yet another fetish of mine)

... off to nose at the Folli Folie website now...

Glad I'm not the only one with a watch fetish! Wink

errr.. I absolutely love the Nixon watch. Very understated. Beautiful

onetiredmummy · 10/09/2012 20:19

I love Fossil watches so I'd go for them every time. Personally I prefer the coloured faces instead of white on a dark strap :)

Piemistress · 10/09/2012 20:22

I meant to say its the brown strap top left I like on the fossil face.

I like loads of Nixon watches but especially that one, have tried the fossil one on locally but can't find a Nixon stockst near me to try it on , boo

I like the look of Fossil ones but not sure about the quality - for that money I bought a seiko with perpetual calendar.

I kind of go for build over looks iyswim, anything 'fashion' makes me think, yes, but what am I paying for here.

Plus I hate having two watches - one of them is always waiting on the dressing table to be worn Sad

I also have a kinetic which fits better so I wear that mostly, but feel sorry for the other one!

Piemistress · 10/09/2012 20:28

Do you have any links? I am open to other suggestions! Smile

Not got time now as it's bed time and I should be turning this off! But you can get Seikos anywhere.

They are well known for being very reliable, the kinetic ones operate on a capacitor which is charged when you move your wrist so they don't need a battery (service after about 10 years perhaps - or maybe an upgrade)

I like stuff like that - I'm not a bloke but I think I should be Smile

So the Nixon, I love that.

I have a Michael Kors, which looks amazing but is actually a bit shit (has broken twice this year) and a neon rubber Swatch which is an excellent timepiece but slightly lacking in sophistication :)

PippiL · 10/09/2012 21:23

Nixon, nice!

I do like the other one too, but the Nixon is just better.

Damn you, off to google watches now. Esp kinetic ones as when the batteries die in mine I go without a watch for a year or so.

Specialbrew · 10/09/2012 21:48

Nixon! I have a purple timeteller which I love.

TKMaxx online have a couple of nice Calvin Klein ones at the moment, worth taking a look if you like the minimal detailing of the Nixon one

Piemistress · 11/09/2012 12:53

Oooo that is very funky!

Will go check out TK Maxx!
