If you have bunions, where do you buy non-granny shoes?

I have bunions on both feet - its a genetic thing, rather than the result of wearing dodgy shoes!

I find it incredibly difficult to buy shoes. M&S wide fit footglove are the only ones which seem to vaguely fit, and they're hardly the height of fashion.

Any recoomendations?

clarks usually do fairly decent width fitted ones. Van daal go up to a D fitting, whilst brooke go up to e and ee fittings.
If your feet are small enough, you could try the kids width fitted ones?

I got a pair of TOMS and have been really really pleased with them. Comfy and trendy!

madmomma · 08/09/2012 23:35

there are the odd non grannyish style at gabor. Also try duo

WilfSell · 08/09/2012 23:39

Duo have width fitting shoes, Hush Puppies do some and you can now find a wide range of cheaper ones in places like Simply be, very, viva la diva and so on...

Toms are trendy. For real? I do not like them at all. The round toed hushpuppies work really well for me. Other retailers are starting to catch on too. Evans do wide fit, as do Next.

They are trendy here in my Boden wearing village. I don't wear Boden, but I do like comfortable shoes, and they are the best casual shoes I've found for comfort in a few years.

I have dreadful bunions but refuse to give up my heels... I am in agony by the end of the day!

Mabelface · 09/09/2012 09:36

I wear Doc Martens.

I discovered TBS shoes last year, was beside myself with excitement as they fit my feet and looked trendy. People have actually asked me where I got them from, which never happens to me.

Apart from that, I have a lot of Clarks wide-fitting shoes and boots. Nothing else seems to fit.

FairyPenguin · 09/09/2012 09:44

I have the TBS Orleat and the TBS Violay.

New Look wider fitting have some nice shoes.

HappyAsEyeAm · 10/09/2012 16:24

Thanks for the suggestions. Its a matter of trying them on and seeing - I will hunt them out!
