I actually bought a pair of teal jeans and they ( gasp ) stay up . I am going to have to cut the label out aren't I ???

perfumedlife · 07/09/2012 20:16

What I don't understand is why their photographs are so cheap looking, so shoddy and badly lit. It's as though they've shrugged in resignation that no amount of skillfully shot artwork will disguise the hideousness held therein Confused

DonaAna · 07/09/2012 20:38

I'm actually quite impressed.

Their new gothic nouveau whatever collection actually has very good basics - am even considering the leather pencil skirt. Solid color and no frilly leopard.

Of course they have mountains of awful tat but I think they are moving to the right direction.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/09/2012 21:18

Noooooooooooooooo. The tops are quite pretty but they are all polyester and will rustle and spark when you move.

ujjayi · 07/09/2012 21:21

Agree with Remus - way too much man made fibre in that collection. Your hair will be static in seconds and you will experience shocks every move you make.

invicta · 07/09/2012 21:23

I like M and S clothes. I don't see why people don't like them. They do have some horrible clothes, but so does every store.

PS. I don't work for Marks.

PretzelTime · 07/09/2012 21:44

About time. Wonder if MS employees lurk MN.

Grin at maggot coat though

marriedinwhite · 07/09/2012 21:54

Ken High for me tomorrow. But I have always liked it selectively. Per Una trousers fit me. I quite like some of the frills and bows. I quite like being feminine. Can't wait for tomorrow and the skinny latte in the cafe

noddyholder · 07/09/2012 22:12

The flat front trousers are good for worky people. Leopard pencil skirt lovely material. Otherwise no still dreadful!

AmethystMoon · 08/09/2012 06:16

Pmsl at maggot outfit Grin dear god someone must have said "mmmm yes lovely that must go in the new collection for AW12"!!!!!!!

tribpot · 08/09/2012 14:19

Poor maggot coat. I have a similar number from Land's End - it is toasty warm but I do look like a purple version of Mr Stay Puft the Marshmallow Man whilst wearing it. The difference is, they would not advertise it as 'a fashionable quilted coat [which] combines a modern style with a funnel neck for a confident, individual look' (someone must have been on the gin to come up with that). Nor, as already pointed out, is it in a worryingly flesh coloured tone.

BonnyDay · 09/09/2012 08:25

The lands end one is down though. I have one. With fur

Oh I love mine, Bonny - it may practically require its own meeting room at work to live in during the day because it's so big, but it rocks. Maggot coat does not.
