Please help me find a similar maternity dress to this one!

Hi,

I will be 37 weeks pregnant when SIL gets married and I was trying on some Tiffany Rose dresses today - obviously I will be very pregnant but I still want to look good at her wedding!

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I will have no other chance to wear it again - the dress I found that suited me best was this one but it is expensive, especially only to be worn once. All the "usual" style of TR dresses (the lace ones, etc) looked totally wrong on - I am very front-loaded and have a very sticky-out at the front bump.

So, could any of you ladies please help me find another, cheaper dress to the one linked above? Similar in style and I do like the minky colours. Am a sz12, if that makes any difference. I would be most grateful for your help!!!

Thanks so much Smile

Hi,

Thanks for such a quick reply! The dress I liked has a bit of a swingy skirt, the tighter ones (like the one you linked and the ones I loved the pics of on the TR site) really didn't suit me, unfortunately. I seem to suit clingy-ish top parts and swingier skirts.

Thanks though for the suggestion!

Nothing startlingly similar, but asos has some nice dresses much cheaper. You may have looked already this is nice?
as is this

Seraphine are good too, if you haven't looked there - although expensive
in the sale

[[http://www.tiffanyrose.com/maternity/clothing/SBJD.html is a shape similar to
the one you liked, but maybe not as special]]

not dissimilar?

Any good?

Hi,

THanks very much! Not keen on the cream/white asos one but the red-ish one is ok, but I look awful in that colour.

I like the Seraphine one and the swing Tiffany Rose one you linked to is also the shape I am looking for. I also tried that one on but it didn't look quite special enough for my SIL's wedding. I think it may have been because it was all in darker colours and I tend to suit lighter ones nearer my face. The shape is perfect though!

I really like the mink TR nursing one too, totally missed that online and they didn;t have it in the shop. You have given me a few options to think about, thank you very much!

I do still like the original, really expensive one the best though - it is just working out whether I can justify spending so much on what will be a definite single wear occasion!!

Keep them coming!! Smile

Hi wickedfairy, I'm in a similar position to you - my brother is getting married in a few weeks' time when I will be about 35 weeks pregnant so I've been keeping an eye out for dresses but still don't have a clue what I'm going to wear.

I don't have any new dress suggestions for you, I'm afraid, but just thought I'd mention that I looked at the Tiffany Rose dresses on ebay and they seem to go for fairly good prices so if you did buy the dress you really like (which is lovely!) you should be able to get some of the money back if you sell it afterwards.

Do you mind if I ask you where you tried on the TR dresses? Have been looking at them on line and there are a few that look nice but it would be good to be able to try some on without having to pay for delivery and returns of ones I don't want.

Hi Optimism,

I am just outside Manchester, there is a stockist in Cheshire - they didn;t have everything but enough for me to try on and realise all the ones I like (that are also available on ebay) don't suit me AT ALL!!!

If you go to the TR page, one of the tabs shows stockists but there are only about 4 in the UK (I think) and most were down South - no idea where you are.

I am very front loaded bump-wise and looked like I had eaten a massive egg in the lace style ones, not attractive. I wish the maternity people would use real pregnant people as models and not just ordinary models with a prosthetic bump. Gives you no real idea.....

Good luck with your dress search - you will have to update us with the one you choose! I will, once I have decided!!
