Hey stylish dudes

I've been invited to a party where the dress code is Cocktail.

Now do you think it's completely infra dig to rock up in trousers?

Does it have to be a cocktail frock?

It's a friends birthday party at a winery so not like an awards ceremony of anything.

I am a teeny tiny bit fatter than I used to be think a stone and the frocks I have all look awful.

I have a pair of wide black palazzo trews, that I could match with a high shoe, and sparkly top, or is it just Not done?

I went dress shopping yesterday and got completely depressed as A. all frocks were $300+ and B. I am skint and C. I don't suit dresses anyway due to fat stomach

Hi Claudia. I would usually say no to pants but as you say they are palazzo and therefore 'skirty' I think as long as you do 'dress up' up top you will be fine for this occasion.

I do a lot of 'cocktail' parties at work for various things and see people as you've described.

Enjoy the event!
