What colour shoes/tights to wear with navy

Is it okay to wear tan boots with a navy dress? If so, what colour tights?

How about black tights and shoes with navy? Ok or not?

Is this for work or play? I dont think there are any rules per se but personally dont mix navy and black. I like to wear charcoal or grey thick tights with any shade of blue in the winter and nude leg in summer but thats for work.

Dont see why not to a tan boot this look (skirts and low ankle boots) seems to be very in with a bare leg at the moment.

I wouldn't put navy with black. i think it's fine to wear a navy dress with tan boots but I'd probably just wear nude tights or navy leggings.

what about burgandy / aubergine type colour?

I would wear navy and black, but I think it goes with any colour. I tend to match my tights to my footwear because I have very short legs.

The best thing I ever did for my work wardrobe was to buy a number of (cheap!) courts in the heel height I like for work (4 inches mark or slightly over/under) in a series of different colours: petrol blue, coral pink, snakeskin, olive green as well as black. I find I never wear my black ones at all this time of year now. matching shoes to outfits has become easy.
