nude leggings?

I've seen a few girls wearing nude leggings - at first I though it looked like they weren't wearing any trousers but then I thought they might be a good alternative to tights or skinny jeans in winter under dresses. I've looked in several places and I can't seem to find any though. Has anyone seen any?

Heavens, sounds dreadful.

I saw a very elegant women the other day. I thought she was wearing calf length tan boots over white trousers. Until I saw her ballet flats.

dexter73 · 05/09/2012 16:32

I have to agree with Zwitterion - nude leggings do sound dreadful! I can't even quite imagine what they would look like!

Pinot · 05/09/2012 16:36

Seen them.
Scoffed and laughed at them.

piprabbit · 05/09/2012 16:43

No.

sweetheart · 05/09/2012 16:45

ha ha - well obv I was planning on wearing them with a dress which is much MUCH longer than that photo!

Oh man! they are worse than I ever imagined!

lilachair · 05/09/2012 16:48

Oh god, please no. No.

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 05/09/2012 16:53

Worn like that link is so very wrong, her are eating them doesn't help matters.

Worn with boots and a dress is something I would do when it gets cold, warmer than tights in the winter.

sweetheart · 05/09/2012 16:57

thats my thoughts neighbour. They will be warmer than tights and colour wise will go with any dress. i have very chunky legs so lovely purple / green / burgandy (and any other colour you can imagine) tights are out the question.

^ even worn with a dress and boots is wrong, the colour is just dreadful. These leggings should never be worn, heck they should not have been manufactured!
What's wrong with woollen tights, maybe with a pattern in a contrast colour?

NiceCupOfTeaAndASitDown · 05/09/2012 17:00

No idea what to wear them with but I got some from Primark for £3

Yokel · 05/09/2012 17:00

But...but....nude leggings are just wrong

Don't do it OP. Bare legs till you can't stand the cold any more, then good quality black opaques.

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 05/09/2012 17:01

Please don't. I'm no fashion guru, but it's just wrong. It will look rude!

BunnyLebowski · 05/09/2012 17:02

Eurgh they're hideous things.

They are flattering on no skin tone and will not make your legs look any less chunky than purple/green/burgundy etc. They have the exact opposite effect imo.

On skinny legs they make the wearer look like they have nora batty-esque saggy skin. Boke.

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 05/09/2012 17:07

The only bit visable will be the knee, as dress and boot will have the rest covered.

ihatethecold · 05/09/2012 17:14

Great link Grin

sweetheart · 06/09/2012 10:33

I would love love love to wear wollen tights but I am so chunky of leg that the patterns always get stretched and distorted making me look like one giant ELEPHANT!!!!

I agree with Bunny - those nude leggings will make you look chunkier of leg (speaking as someone with a tendency to be hefty of calf & thigh). Darker colours - plum, dark green, navy, brown and boring old black - these are your friends.

ujjayi · 06/09/2012 10:38

sweetheart - I can't wear cable or patterned tights either as it adds pounds regardless of colour I choose. My compromise is to wear Autograph merino tights which are regular knit but light enough that they don't add weight.

HazleNutt · 06/09/2012 10:42

No please. And I absolutely agree - if you have chunky legs then light, flesh-coloured leggings will make you even chunkier, nice burgundy will be much more flattering.
