ive never bought from them but have my eye on a cardign for my dd who is 3. i love the look of their clothes but they are expesive, so are they worth it. (i have two dd's so i try to pass as much on to the baby as possible so if spending more means i can pass on more then it might be worth it. )

Yes I think so, although I never pay full price (always a code around somewhere).

IMO clothes are well made, good quality and wash well.

fanoftheinvisibleman · 01/09/2012 21:24

I know some will disagree as I've seen threads bemoaning reduced quality but I've always found it to be good. I have a batch on ebay at the moment that ds has worn for 2 years and it is still in excellent condition and will likely be a bargain for its new owners. I've never paid full price for it either as there are always good offers about.

They have a great offer on facebook at the minute for free delivery, 10% off and a free kids rucksack. The bags look lovely too.

AlfalfaMum · 01/09/2012 21:32

I would buy a lot more Mini Boden if I had lots of spare cash, so I would say worth it if you can afford it.
Certain Boden things are very good: coats, leather boots, long sleeved T's. And the knickers are the best, very sturdy, cute and comfy and literally last years.
I always look out for their special offers and sales, and try to only buy stuff we really need. I have 3 DDs so get quite good value out of clothes.

StellaNova · 01/09/2012 21:35

I bought two tops and a pair of cords for DS2 when he was one, and they were brlliant quality, the cords in particular were worn up til the age of two and a half and have been passed on to DS2 who has also worn them from one to two and a half.

I was so impressed I bought another pair for DS1 aged three, and they ripped within two weeks. Know I should have sent them back but didn't.

MainlyMaynie · 01/09/2012 21:41

Yes, they're really nice quality and sturdy materials for falling over and getting messy! DS grows too quickly for me to know if they last a long time, but they certainly take being bashed about well.

theoriginalandbestrookie · 01/09/2012 21:53

The childrens clothes do last well. Send them back if they don't.

GobblersKnob · 01/09/2012 22:38

I think they are brilliant, I tend to buy in the sale and then after a couple of years wear more often than not sell them on ebay for more than I paid for them Grin

Win-win.

jelliebelly · 01/09/2012 22:40

Yes they are generally good quality - you get what you pay for..

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 01/09/2012 22:41

I rate the quality
we have had a winter coat that has gone from ds1 to ds2 and lasted through rough and tumble associated with both of them

StrawberrytallCAKE · 01/09/2012 22:41

I don't think they last any better than other shops other than the coats which are very good quality.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 01/09/2012 22:46

Yes it is.

I buy most of dds clothes there (always make sure you have a discount code, check their facebook page if you do fb)

They are good quality, if they're not you can send them back, even after a wear and a wash.

When clothes have done both my dds i sell them on ebay for nearly what i paid for them.

accessorizequeen · 01/09/2012 22:50

They're not as reliable as they were. I have tops passed onto ds3 that look like they are 6 months old but some of the stuff I've ordered in the last year or so has been poor quality. Read the reviews carefully and you can buy some cracking stuff though. I have 4 dc and the Boden clothes I've bought them look better, last longer and keep their shape more than any other brand. Resale is still great too.

ruby22 · 01/09/2012 22:51

same as above really.. never pay full price and always sell well on ebay after the Dcs have been through them. Things I find especially good are the fleece lined anoraks, buy them every year, the PJs wash well although quality wise worse this year than ever, in summer the techno shorts for boys are great also the 2 piece surf suits which if you buy big last for 2 years.

CockBollocks · 01/09/2012 23:00

My DD has a few cardigans from Boden and they are fab - wash brilliantly (even been accidentally tumbled a few times).

Get the size up and it will last ages.

FrancesFarmer · 01/09/2012 23:58

In my experience, the knitwear isn't great but trousers and coats hold up well.

FredWorms · 02/09/2012 00:05

yep

maryquant · 02/09/2012 10:05

My DS always has the Boden Puffa jacket every winter and the towelling beach hoodie every summer great quality.

But I always ebay them when he's grown out of them.

T shirts etc I only buy in sale but for heavy use things which get a lot of wear then yes.

Never pay full price got to have a 10% off at least.

accessorizequeen · 03/09/2012 11:29

There's 20% off mini until Thurs. DDFB.

CaroleService · 03/09/2012 13:09

Just tried that code on some adult boots and it worked!! Thanks, Access.

accessorizequeen · 03/09/2012 18:21

No worries :) I think only some of the womenswear is included.

We have lots of mini boden and it has all been great quality, even though it was already second/third hand when passed onto dd1 and dd2 has had loads of use as she grows so slowly, some of it is probably 10yrs old now. Vintage mini boden!

MrsBovary · 03/09/2012 22:57

The clothes are cheaper this year, even without the discount codes. Quality isn't what it was, quite honestly, but is still fairly good value for money.

scarlettsmummy2 · 03/09/2012 23:03

I wasn't overly impressed with the few things I bought though I may have been unlucky. I have bought lots from joules which is similar style and miles better in my opinion.

ComradeJing · 04/09/2012 03:07

Trousers are brilliant though I've found the elastic waist ones are very snug around the tummy.

Really unimpressed by the cardigans I bought at Christmas though and wouldn't buy knitwear again.
