Best quality black leggings

TheCountessOlenska · 31/08/2012 19:18

At this point money no object (well, within reason!)

I am pregnant. All I want in life is to wear black leggings every day with my long tops. Any other clothes irritate me. I'm not yet at the stage of needing maternity leggings (although recommendations welcome for those too)

I just need them not to go saggy, not to go shiny, to be black and stay black, and to wash well!

Oh, and not to be weird length!

Thank you!!

Topshop not bad but avoid M&S like the plague - saggy of crotch and baggy of knee

Pmoz · 31/08/2012 19:24

Next! Full length. They don't sag or shine .... Love them !

titan · 31/08/2012 19:28

Boden maternity and non maternity are the best I have found. I agree re M & S being rubbish.

TheCountessOlenska · 31/08/2012 19:30

Thanks! Boden, Next, Topshop.

Also black leggings and 40 denier tights socks worn to work with dresses/skirts are the solution to the problem of all maternity tights being terrible and falling down!

LemonBreeland · 31/08/2012 19:35

I liked the New Look maternity leggings last time around.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 31/08/2012 19:36

My topshop ones were great. Good quality and non see through

TheCountessOlenska · 31/08/2012 19:37

Ahh - I am wearing New Look maternity leggings at this very moment, they are left over from last time - I wore them all the time but now they seem to have gone baggy (maybe I am not fat enough for them yet)

I have some from Joules and they are fab, no knees.

BikeRunSki · 31/08/2012 19:39

i got some Boden leggings last winter and didn't think much of the quality. Before that I had some excellent maternity ones from H&M.

lemonbonbons · 31/08/2012 19:39

Warehouse is what you need.

Anything else I hate

nomoreminibreaks · 31/08/2012 19:40

Mine were all from H&M and I never needed to look anywhere else - and I wore them a lot.

KateShmate · 31/08/2012 19:41

The new M&S £7.50 ones are bloody amazing! They have like a cuff around the waist and ankles, are really thick and definitely don't go baggy.
Have been recommending them to everyone!

Ok - Warehouse, possibly new M&S ones (they sound good!)

Hmm, sadly H&M (and I love H&M) has let me down badly on the legging front Sad

River Island. Not maternity but they have a wide high waistband so they don't dig in.

GrassIsntGreener · 31/08/2012 19:46

I have black maternity ones from H&M they've been a god send, allowing me to continue wearing tunic tops I had (non-maternity included).

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 31/08/2012 19:48

You know i didn't mean no knees, right?!

I meant no saggy knees, i am not a wearer of knee less tights!

starjules · 31/08/2012 19:48

H&M, I had about 4 pairs in all the sizes as I ballooned! The bump bit comes up nice and high. I lurvvved my leggings last winter when pregnant and those were the best by far IMO.

KateShmate · 31/08/2012 20:55

These are the M&S ones. Just go in and have a feel of them, they are so much thicker than normal leggings! :)

I got some great ones from www.seraphine.com

karinmaria · 05/07/2013 08:59

Another vote for Topshop. My Asos maternity leggings have washed well too and they do a few patterns and nice stitches along with black.

M&S were rubbish but had some good maternity dresses.
