No7 magic foundation machine

Just seen advert for this. Machine matches your colour to perfect foundation. Has anyone tried this. I think lady in advert looks a bit chalky with it.

At the branch I went to yesterday you had to book an appoitntment so I didn't bother.

Yes I tried it today. It takes a photo of your skin. My result was amber rather than green, which means that it couldn't match my skin properly. the shade it suggested was far too dark. The helpful consultant put the next lighter shade on my jawline to try and gave me a sample of it to try at home /in daylight

She explained that most colours come in different formulations so you have a choice of coverage. But not mine.

I was wondering how they could possibly match everyone's skin colour. Sounds like a bit of a gimmick then.
