Six Item or Less Challenge - What would you choose?

Has anyone ever done it? A basic summary here for those who haven't heard of it.

I did it, more or less, a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. The simplicity of not having to decide what to wear was really liberating actually. I had a pair of good fitting jeans, some black trousers, a red vest top, a slouchy grey cardigan, a white button-up shirt and a black jumper.

I'm thinking about doing it again, but need a new wardrobe as in the past 2 years I either wore the above items to death and wore them out, am sick of them, or put on weight and they don't fit properly.

What would you choose for your six items? Links would be lovely, to give me some ideas for shopping for myself.

Scripsi that zara blouse is so gorgeous. I want it now. Have been looking at my sad little pile of clothes, I have one pair of skinny jeans 2 pairs of leggings, a vest and a cardi and a dress from george!!!

That could work Iamgiulietta. Is there the option of another top rather than two pairs of leggings? It might offer more variety, but as a base, your six sound good. I'm going to pick my six in the next day or so.

Iamgiulietta - I know that zara blouse is amazing! I think it looks quite Edwardian. I went looking for it at lunch time but it's not in my local store which is a pain as I really wanted to see what it looks like on me (not as flat-chested as the model!).

A year may be a bit long for me but a month might be a fun challenge! Based on what I currently have in my wardrobe my 6 items would be:

  1. Topshop dark blue skinny jeans
  2. Next fitted denim shirt
  3. M&S Limited Collection black pencil skirt
  4. M&S Grey cashmere jumper
  5. French Connection jersey dress
  6. M&S Teal cashmere cardigan

Meggles76, that sounds like an excellent set!

The Zara blouse would make a good addition definitely. I may just have yo treat myself. Iam fairly flat chested scrips so imagine it would look similar on me to model( haaaahaaa) I have just bought a stripey jersey dress from primark which was fairly bargainous which will replace one pair of leggings. Today am wearing skinny jeans and vest, have been taking stuff to the tipGrin

Well done you Iamgiulietta! I really must make my choices so I can get started on this. By this weekend, if not today!
