Does anyone love Pinterest as much as I do? I'm hoping it might stop me shopping for stuff I don't need. Is that a bit optimistic?

Happy to hear from fellow addicts Grin
Pin really helps in many ways.
I've stayed on budget this month and resisted impulse purchases because I can pin stuff that I love (and decluttering Pinboards is much easier than purging a closet).

Staying on budget is my Holy Grail.. So it works Dona..? Fab!

I love it..... ;)

Putting all ones loves into one place....so satisfying.

I do like it but I wish there was a way I could make my boards private. I don't necessarily want others (people I know really) to see what I'm lusting after. Pinterest to me is like a fantasy rather than reality!!

cahu · 30/08/2012 13:38

toast ... use a different name.

Oh yeah Blush

gregssausageroll · 30/08/2012 14:30

What is it? Wonders off to google.

TellMeLater · 30/08/2012 16:04

Love it too - very addictive!

Londonista1975 · 30/08/2012 16:07

Privacy is what concerns me too about Pinterest, which otherwise suits my personality. I don't mind using my own name but concerned that anyone googling my name would see my profile and see what I'm currently coveting! Does anyone know if you can have high privacy settings so nobody can see your profile from an Internet search?

cahu · 30/08/2012 17:38

I'm worried that I may never leave sofa and laptop again.... what with Mumsnet and now Pin..... I had to leave Mumsnet a while ago to do stuff in real life! Now I'm back, I'm trying to find a balance but since I created my boards.........

Use a pseudonym - I do ;)

MarshaBrady · 30/08/2012 17:48

Set it up with your mn name. I do too.

NigellasGuest · 30/08/2012 17:58

Is there an idiot's guide to pinterest?
I don';t get how it all works. Sounds great if it's going to help me curtail spending!

InspiredToBoot · 30/08/2012 18:02

I also use a pseudonym. It's ridiculous that you can't restrict some of your boards to be private.
Oh, and totally addicted too.

toastandmarmiterocks · 30/08/2012 18:12

Isn't it all connected to your contacts? I get emails from my friends who have signed up? Best I don't get too sucked in though, hours of my life have already been lost to the mumsnet boards...

cahu · 30/08/2012 18:12

Nigellas.....Its very user friendly. Just open account and name your first board...
