Best, effective spot concealer???

Ladies, I have a crop of acne on my chin (delightful I know) which has been there for months and does not appear to be shifting.

The rest of my skin is clear and pretty good, I usually wear Lily Lollo in Blondie. Is there a decent concealer/something I can put over the acne which will actually conceal it and not look I have flesh coloured paint plastered on over spots????

Have you tried the lily lolo concealer? I usually put it on with a brush under my foundation and then dab a bit on top as well if i need to. It's pretty good. You can get it from Feelunique with free postage.

MAC studio fix, the one in the little pot is excellent. It doesn't come off all day and the coverage is really good (I apply with a brush).

I've used Boots No.7 for years, one in a gold stick but recently I've got the Dainty Doll one by Nicola Roberts. It's for pale skin though, I've got no.3 of 4 shades and it's very light so depends if this suits your skin tone.

I don't normally like Benefit make-up, but the Boi-ing "Industrial Strength" concealer in the pot is fantastic. It lasts all day on me and covers any amount of redness. Unfortunately it only comes in 3 colours though, so you will want to test it in store (possibly bring your foundation with you so you can see how it looks). I used to use it under a mineral foundation (Elemental Beauty) and it worked better than anything else I've tried.

Application is very important regardless of what concealer you use though. I tend to rub a little onto my finger, transfer it onto the back of my hand and then pat it onto my face with an EcoTools concealer brush to get the most natural finish. MAC does a great "fluffy" brush for applying concealer to a larger area, but I have no idea what it's called I'm afraid.

I always come back to the select cover-up from Mac in NC20 and Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer in light. The Mac one is my favourite and looks great even if you have no other product on your face.

Clinique anti blemish concealer.

I have tried everything! Trust me this really works cover even the most horrendously red spots! Wink

Rimmel hide the blemish. Been using it since my teens and still love it!

Lisa Eldridge has a great video about how to cover acne and what products to use
