Jessica Geleration Nails

I have had the Jessica Geleration applied to my nails and I am very impressed indeed.

I had to pay £35 for it to be applied and hopefully it should last three weeks. To have the polish removed it costs £10 - fair enough. If you decide to have the polish removed and then the Geleration reapplied it will cost the £10 and £35 which I think is a bit of a rip off, I would have thought it would have been free or a nominal charge as you are paying the full price for reapplication.

What do you pay?

I used to pay 25 to apply, 10 to remove, but free removal if you are having it applied again.

You can easily remove it yourself though - just need 100% acetone, cotton wool & foil.

File off all the shiny top layer of polish. Soak the cotton wool in acetone and put on your nail. Wrap tight with foil. After 15 mins you should be able to push off the lifted polish with a cuticle stick.

tbh I don't go to the salon anymore, have bought Sensationail kit for 60 quid and do it myself!

Hi Jackstini thanks for your reply - where do you get 100% acetone or is this just nail polish remover?

I think it should be free if having reapplied.

100% acetone from any chemist or you can use any false nail remover.

Normal acetone free remover wont work on gel polish (but that does mean you can paint over gel with normal polish in a different colour for a night out then take it off with normal remover and your gel with still be perfect!)

I've had mine done this week, they're gorgeous. I feel all feminine.

Almostfifty I know what you mean about feeling all feminine. I feel I could quite addicted to having them done!, but it is just the cost at £45 a time!

I had my fingers and toes done. My finger nails lasted just short of two weeks but then peeled at the edges so I removed it. However my toe nails have lasted forever. I had it done seven weeks ago and it's still on! You can now see where it's growing out by the cuticle but as my toes are so far away they look fine unless you look close up.
The salon I went to said it was 35.00 for the nails, 15.00 to remove them but it was free if you were going to have it reapplied and they just charged 35
