Mum Boots??

Possibly fancy these

to replace some much-loved and now lost Russell and Bromley bikers.

Am going into the Geox Covent Garden shop when up there tomorrow to try them on anyway - will probably check out R and B too.

But meanwhile any views - on the boots in general or what I could/coudn't wear them with??

i dont like the heel

LittlePandaBear · 29/08/2012 17:39

I think they look really comfy and I like them, but they may be a bit 'mum boot'.

But mum boots only exist in mumsnet land and we can't see your feet in real life, so go for it Grin

FrancesFarmer · 29/08/2012 18:51

I can't see the link but if they're by Geox, it's a safe bet to say they're a Mum Boot. Sorry!

Good god, mum boots!

lairymum99 · 29/08/2012 19:15

yep, mum boots. sorry

polyhymnia · 30/08/2012 09:53

Thanks - as I suspected! In fact, they look more frumpy in that Javari link than in the Geox website one I was originally trying to post. Probably Javari one more accurate.

Will still have a quick look in the Geox store today, as I don't agree that all their stuff is mumsy. Some of their styles are certainly frumpy but, if you look hard in one of their shops - I usually buy from their Italian ones - it's possible to find some that combine style and comfort. I personally have bought more from there than Clark's - though I know a lot of people like Clark's.

But my favourite is still R and B!

I love my rocket dogs for the dry days & i have some lovely ecco ones for the wet days :)

no i did not see the deleted post, what on earth could be deletable on a boot thread!!....

Teeb · 30/08/2012 14:43

Really though, I think the mum boot situation is down to A) what is worn with it and B) who is wearing it. I think yesterday there was a picture of Kate Moss in leopard print skinnies and Marc Jacbos boots that looked good. However anyone over 25/non model/non size 10 under would easily fall into mum boot category.

polyhymnia · 30/08/2012 19:01

The deletion was only advertising - nothing more interesting.

Saw the boots today and of course you are all right! Nothing just right in Russell and Bromley either, so my search goes on. Will follow up your suggestions.
