Scarves - how? Where from?!

Hello,

Ive not posted on S&B before, but I've become a bit of a style disaster during maternity leave. I spend a lot of time in straight-leg jeans and basic long-sleeved t-shirts, as I find I have to put my entire outfit in the wash at the end of every day. My previous wardrobe of dresses and skirts doesn't really work anymore - favourite teadress has already been pulled apart and I don't have time to iron anymore :(

So I've often seen scarves mentioned on here as a way of pepping up a boring outfit. I've never worn scarves before (except chunky woolly ones when freezing) -- can anyone give me some pointers on where to buy and how to wear, please?! E.g., if I just wanted to pep up a boring breton/jeans combo?

Caveats: I don't have much of a budget these days but prefer half-decent quality rather than throwaway, ,and timeless rather than trendy.

Thanks!

You can buy scarves from any clothes shop so just have a look round and buy one you like, then watch .

Massimo Dutti and Banana Republic have lovely ones this season. You can't go wrong with something like this: bananarepublic.gap.eu/browse/product.do?cid=57617&vid=1&pid=000414334&scid=000414334SM04-11877

Ooo, thanks Dexter73, that video clip is very handy! And thanks to everyone else for the 'where from' suggestions - I really love that Massimo Dutti one actually. Just wondering whether I can justify the cost, given that it's wool (so won't wash well and will be covered in baby snot/manky food in no time...)
